Position Responsibilities
1. Manage the receivables of the National Billed customer portfolio charge sales
a. Personally, make collection phone calls and emails to National Accounts in the assigned portfolio
b. Maintain the needed collection follow-up activity of 500 plus account numbers
c. Work with customers and the appropriate SW management to resolve customer A/R issues
d. Establish new commercial charge account and job account limits up to $7500 and recommend credit lines greater than $7500 to the next level of management.
2. Maintain positive relationship with National Account customers by resolving process related issues to ensure sales channels stay open while identifying possible risks to the company.
- Work with customers and the appropriate SW management to resolve customer A/R issues
- Communicate with the appropriate SW management regarding potential bad debt losses and significant past due problems.
- Recommend plans of action to resolve delinquent accounts
- Recommend when accounts should be placed on hold and or referred to a third party for collection
- Assist in identifying EDI, pricing, tracking, AR process issues that result in the customer not paying their invoices in a timely fashion
Position Requirements
- FORMAL EDUCATION:
- Required:
- High School Diploma
- Preferred:
- 4 year college degree or current enrollment in college courses
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
a. Required:
- Customer Service Experience
b. Preferred:
- Sherwin Williams TAG Credit Experience
- Sherwin Williams TAG Store Experience
- Familiarity with Accounts Receivables processes
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Required:
- Able to operate a personal computer, use keyboarding/typing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
