YOUR TEAM
Within the Network Management Directorate, the "Airports" Unit develops, validates and deploys airport safety, runway throughput, surface management and total airport management solutions.
YOUR ROLE
Your role will be to:
- Contribute to the integration of airports to the European ATM network by supporting the deployment of data exchange between airports and the Network Manager (A-CDM airports, Advanced ATC Towers, Regional Airports, Advanced Network Integrated airports and future airport integration concepts).
- Define test scenarios with external stakeholders and internal teams as support to airport integration.
- Analyse data based on the defined test scenarios in full collaboration with airports, validate data against operational criteria and prepare technical test reports to support operational deployment.
- Contribute to the full integration project lifecycle, including Initial Safety Assessments, organisation of operational trials and the transition from test phase into operations, maintaining/updating implementation plans and other relevant technical documentation etc.
- Contribute with expertise to post-ops incident investigations, to the evolution of systems, produce progress reports, prepare training material, etc.
- Contribute to meetings, working groups, projects, taskforces, etc. as needed.
- Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
- Completed university studies of 4 years in a relevant domain (e.g. Engineering, Aeronautics, Data Science etc) plus 3 years of relevant working experience, or university studies of at least 3 years plus 4 years relevant professional experience.
- Internal candidates should check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate.
- Experience in A-CDM activities.
- Experience in DPI (Departure Planning Information) messages.
- Experience in systems testing and validation.
- Understanding of air traffic flow and capacity management and the role of airports in it.
- Project management skills.
- Technical drafting skills (English).
- The following would be considered an advantage:
o Experience in airport data systems
o Experience in airport ops processes
o Experience in API (Arrival Planning Information) messages
o Experience in requirements development process
o Knowledge of NM core systems
o Understanding of flight planning and airspace data
