Organisational Development Specialist [South Africa]


 

Job summary

Develop and evaluate our business structures, advising management on the allocation of personnel and resources, and facilitating cost-effective and efficient procedures.

Responsibility

Organisational Development

· Organisational Diagnostics

· Designing and maintaining the practice for the organisational design and job architecture.

· Provide quarterly Job Design reports as and when required.

· Developing and maintaining job architecture including levels of authority and job families.

· Design and conduct relevant Organisational surveys and providing management reports with OD recommendations.

· Delivering organisational design through business consulting and bench-marking processes.

· Oversee and provide guidance on new job profiling

· Develop and implement OD strategies and initiatives that align with the companies goals and objectives.

· Conduct assessments for the business current state, including its culture, structure, and systems, to identify areas for improvement.

Coaching and Change Management

· Work closely with senior leaders and managers to develop and implement change management plans that drive organisational transformation and improve employee.

· Work with other departments to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining workflows and improving operational efficiency.

· Facilitate team development interventions, strategic planning, leadership development, organizational redesign, and change management.

· Facilitate the process of the new job position creation

Job profiling

· Create job profiles for new roles and ensure alignment with performance contracts.

· Evaluate new job profiles and put them into the job matrix.

· Conduct job evaluation, job grading, and maintaining the job matrix of the organisation to ensure internal equity is maintained (in conjunction with reward)

· creation of OD competency models, ways of working, and assessment of capabilities and behaviours

· Maintain job profiles with generic role descriptions.

· Act as custodian for the Competency Framework

· Act as an ambassador for learning and growth

Talent Acquisition

· Source and build campaigns to attract candidate prospects for D-bands an Upper.

· Direct sourcing and headhunting for talent

· Building and maintaining talent pool

Talent Management

· Performance & Succession Management

· Coordinate the performance and succession planning systems.

· Act as custodian for annual performance and succession processes

· Assist in building retention strategies for the business.

Reward

· Partnering with Reward Solutions on the job evaluation policies and procedures.

· Partnering with Reward Solutions to provide support for business case formulation for operating model reviews.

Systems:

Identify systems to support the execution of OD within the organisation

Designing and maintaining systems and processes that support organisational design

Requirements:

· Degree industrial psychology or related, preferably registered with HPCSA.

· Minimum of 5-10 years’ work experience, in OD role with a software development experience

· Commercial acumen

· Analytics Skills

· Strong analytical, financial and numerical skills –

· Remuneration and rewards exposure

· Strong knowledge of logistics environment

· Strong project management skills,

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R22,000.00 - R27,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Melrose, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
