We are looking for a Magento Developer to be responsible for liaising with the design team, setting up Magento 2 sites, building modules and customizing extensions, testing the performance of the platform, and maintaining security and feature updates after the installation is complete.
Tasks
- Design and code various Magento templates. Develop Magento modules in PHP using best practices.
- Research, install and configure various Magento Extensions. Configure basic and advanced Magento settings.
- Customize Magento's front-end components using layout XML, blocks, and templates.
- Import and export e-commerce data (customer data, order data, product data, reviews, etc.) from one Magento installation to another, or from a custom cart to Magento.
- Monitor performance of the production environment and maintain site speed and integrity.
- Install, configure, and maintain Magento in the development environment. Upgrade Magento installations to newer versions.
- Participate as a key part of the e-commerce team to ensure successful and timely technical implementations, designs, development, rollout, and support of eCommerce applications and systems.
- 3+ years of experience with PHP programming language.
- E-commerce experience with Magento2 development.
- Working knowledge of PHP object-oriented programming & MVC applications.
- Experience in working with Magento B2B integration (PIM/ CIAM/ CMS/ CRM/ ERP/ Payment Shipping etc.)
- Experience in customizing Magento's front-end components using layout XML, blocks, and templates.
- Expertise in authoring and extending Magento extensions.
- Experience with complete eCommerce lifecycle development. Competent knowledge of e-commerce data organization, relationships, and store catalog (categories/products/attributes).
- Good working knowledge of MySQL / SQL.
- Experience with Unit Testing and Integration Testing is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is a must.
