TCO has an open position for a Base Mechanic Perforations. The position will be located at the TCO facility in Varhaug. The focus will be gun loading, explosive storage, inventory control and ordering of TCP parts and explosives.
The Base Mechanic reports to the Team Leader TCP Base.
Main tasks
Tasks will normally consist of, but not be limited to
- Gun loading
- Housekeeping and Equipment Maintenance
- Keep control on stock (incl. explosive) make sure appropriate inventory quantities are maintained to suit operations needs
- Assist in Logistics tasks for TCP
- Follow up and support ongoing jobs / projects
- Make sure explosives are stored according to valid regulations and requirements
- Follow all safety rules and procedures
- Lead Field Engineers when they assist in gun loading
- Assist in Disposal of Explosives
- Equipment redress and maintenance
- Packing and preparation of job
Requirements for competences
- Technician or mechanic with over 3 years relevant experience. Relevant experience and competence can compensate for a lack of qualifications
- Shall at least have explosive technical blasting and participated in API-RP 67 training
- Have valid Driving licence / Forklift licence
- Systematic, independent and analytical
- Initiative, the ability to see things through and to work with others
- Good verbal and written formulation in Norwegian and English
- Able to show Police attest for working with explosives
