Quality Assurance Engineer – Shannon
A multinational manufacturer of precision metal components and assemblies are looking to speak to candidates with experience in quality engineering ideally in a manufacturing environment for a new quality assurance engineer role.

With a history back as far as the 1950s, this multinational precision engineering company has built a reputation on a global scale for their high standards and attention to quality. They supply a diverse range of sectors, but specialise in medical device, aerospace, automotive and energy. Using the latest state of the art CNC machines, they have the capability to manage all their clients metal requirements, from fabrication, machining, turning, bending, tooling, welding, finishing and assembly.
This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a large team, already in the hundreds, and grow with a business that looks to continue growing over the next number of years.
Duties:
Based in Shannon, the successful quality assurance engineer will be responsible for the following:
· Tasked with conducting and reporting of internal audits per annual schedule and closing-out of any non-conformances that arise.
· Update and maintain all QMS documents, records and systems in a timely and efficient manner for the business.
· Aim to continuously deliver and drive process efficiencies, while resolving and providing feedback on possible quality issues.
· Communicate with quality and other internal engineering teams on product and process verification for new and exiting products.
· Conduct analysis while identifying improvements and implementing said improvements for both the manufacturing and business process with an aim to improve capability performance.
· Manage and co-ordinate various quality centred projects and quality aspects of production.
Person:
· Experience in a quality position is necessary e.g. 2-3 years’ experience.
· Degree in Engineering/equivalent technical qualification and/or sufficient industry experience required.
· Working knowledge of ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
· Experience working with metal would be very advantageous
· Ideally, you will have knowledge of machining processes.
Package:
· Salary: €45-65k (Dependent on experience)
