About Our Client
Our client is a leading Cement Production company with a joint venture structure and a huge wealth of industry knowledge. Our client's commitment to excellence and innovation results in establishment of their position as a key player in the market. To be part of their Maintenance Department, we are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Planned Maintenance Engineer (Chief) to join our team.
Job Description
- Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and reliability of mechanical equipment in the Cement Production plant.
- Supervise and lead a team of skilled technicians, providing guidance and support in executing planned maintenance activities.
- Collaborate closely with field teams and project teams within the Maintenance Department to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential equipment issues and address them proactively.
- Utilise your expertise in mechanical engineering principles to diagnose complex equipment problems and develop appropriate solutions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
- Optimise maintenance processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Liaise with foreign managers and stakeholders, effectively communicating maintenance requirements and progress reports in English.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a strong focus on preventive and planned maintenance.
- Previous experience in cement production is highly valued.
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team.
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with foreign managers and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues and develop effective solutions.
- Familiarity with SAP PM module or similar Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different management teams.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with regulations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
