About the role
FLSmidth is looking for a competent and ambitious student to support our anti-corruption and compliance agenda in an international work environment.
One of the key responsibilities of Group Compliance is due diligence of various business partners. We conduct most of our due diligence screening in-house in FLSmidth and thus have hands-on knowledge with this field of expertise. A due diligence screening is a thorough examination of a business partner, involving company registration information, past experiences, adverse media, ownership structure and key individuals and impacts. It is a task which requires strong analytical skills, a flair for online research, a critical approach to sources as well as a big dose of creativity.
About the department
As a Student in Group Compliance, you will report to the Group Compliance Manager. You will be joining a small but committed team which includes three Trade Compliance Specialists, a Human Rights Specialist, a Due Diligence Specialist, a Compliance Investigation Specialist and two student assistants. Group Legal, which Group Compliance is a part of, consists of more than 30 colleagues all over the world who are responsible for legal matters and intellectual property rights. Group Legal employees have varied backgrounds in law, engineering and social science.

Your role and responsibilities
- Conducting due diligence screenings of global business partners to help us understand our partners and deal with partner risks
- Receive training and coaching in how to conduct due diligence screenings as part of the introduction programme
- Involved in our new programme which aims to use data analytics to identify cases of fraud or erroneous payments.
- Involved in various communication activities, such as communication campaigns, newsletters, company-wide surveys and e-learning
- Supporting our work within human rights, including human rights due diligence and training
- Various ad-hoc tasks in the field of anti-corruption, human rights, trade compliance, and competition law
What we are looking for
- You are a current masters-level student in a relevant field, e.g., social science, law, business, humanities or similar - you have to be enrolled as a student to be taken into consideration for the position.
- Strong and relevant academic record
- Previous working experience
- Excellent English skills. Other languages are a big plus. You are not required to speak Danish to apply for this position.
- Solid analytical and research skills
- Solid communication and writing skills
